About Dennis Ochii
My name is Dennis Ochii, and I’m a social worker. It’s more than a job to me, it’s a calling I carry every day with pride and gratitude.
I grew up at a Children’s Orphanage. The turning point in my life was the kindness of our social worker. He was caring, patient, and treated us like we mattered. Watching him gave me a clear picture of who I wanted to become. I wanted to be the person who shows up for children and families in their hardest moments, just like he did for me.
Growing up in an orphanage also taught me gratitude. I learned to value every act of kindness, no matter how small, and I promised myself that one day I would give back to others who are still waiting for that same hope.
My brother Andrew and I shared that promise. When we left the orphanage, we felt God calling us to serve the very communities that once supported us. As the saying goes, “Where much is given, much is expected.”
That calling led us to found Goldhope Ministry a community-based organization with multiple programs designed to meet real needs: supporting vulnerable children, empowering families, providing basic necessities, and creating pathways for education and dignity. Our mission is simple: to be a blessing to those who need it most, so they can in turn become a blessing to others.
Today, I’m inviting you to be part of this work. Your support whether through a donation, partnership, or prayer helps us extend the same love and care that changed my life.
When you give to Goldhope Ministry, you don’t just help one person. You start a chain reaction. One life lifted becomes a hand that lifts another. One shoulder leaned on becomes a shoulder for someone else. That’s how the circle of hope continues.
We all need a hand to pull us up at some point. Will you be that hand for someone today?
